Ayrshire Loft is a romantic cottage for two, set within the grounds of historic Cloncaird Castle near Kirkmichael in the beautiful Ayrshire countryside. It is one of eight unique cottages on the estate, which dates back to the 15th century and sits beside the River Girvan. It is a perfect spot for a special break, with luxury, exclusivity and Scottish charm.
The ground floor is an open-plan living space with a living area with Freeview TV, a dining area and a kitchen with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. A shower room with a walk-in shower is also downstairs. Upstairs is the bedroom with a super kingsize bed. Oil underfloor heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are all included and you will find a welcome pack on arrival. A travel cot and highchair are available on request. Please note there are open, steep, spiral or narrow stairs at the property.
Outside, there is a front garden with a sitting-out area and garden furniture and private parking for two cars. The 113-acre grounds have woodland, lovely walks, a pond, a fountain and wonderful gardens, with fishing on site and salmon fishing rights on the river. Please note the pond and river are 200 yards from the cottage. Pets are welcome, with up to two allowed and charges applying. There is no hot tub at this cottage.
Kirkmichael is just over a mile away and has a shop and pub and the nearby towns of Maybole and Kirkoswald have shops, cafes and restaurants. The Ayrshire coast is within 10 miles, with small villages, sandy beaches and coastal trails. Culzean Castle, designed by Robert Adam and Dumfries House are both well worth a visit and the world famous Turnberry Resort is close by. The seaside towns of Ayr, Prestwick and Troon are a short drive and Galloway Forest Park is inland.
