Balsaggart Farm Reviews

A beautiful property in a stunning location. The house was very wellmaintained, spotlessly clean and tidy, with beautiful gardens. The mix of old and new decor and furnishings was well thoughtthrough and modern comforts sit alongside traditional old features. The house has a dignified, understated grandeur, set back from the road, with views across the valley and distant fields. The owner was very friendly and welcoming, and the little touches like milk in the fridge on arrival and vases of fresh flowers positioned around the place were much appreciated. Balsaggart Farm was a peaceful and relaxing place to stay and a great base from which to explore the area. We definitely recommend.

We loved our stay at Balsaggart. It's a traditional stone farmhouse on a working farm, tucked into quiet countryside on the edge of the Galloway Forest, with friendly animals and plenty of wildlife around the garden. The quiet was the real draw, though it's also well placed for days out, with Culzean Castle, Turnberry, the Burns trail and some good walking and cycling routes all close by. Tracy went the extra mile to make us feel welcome, on hand whenever we needed anything but happy to leave us to enjoy the place at our own pace. A special spot, and one we'll be coming back to. Highly recommended.
We were very impressed by this accommodation. Everything was very pristine and well looked after. The garden is very beautiful with lovely flowering shrubs . It was a pleasure to sit out and listen to the bird song. The owner is very friendly and helpful . We very much enjoyed our visit to this beautiful area .

From the moment we pulled onto the property, we knew we were somewhere special. From the lovely stone farmhouse, updated with beautiful touches in every room, to the stunning gardens outside, Balsaggart Farm was a dream for us! The pictures do not adequately capture the sheer loveliness of the grounds, the sound of the babbling stream next door or the thoughtful mix of old and new in each corner of this home. The beds were so comfy, the bathrooms pristine and updated, the fireplace and living room welcoming and spacious for a large family, and the kitchen very workable to cook meals in while retaining that quaint country kitchen feel. Tracy has done a masterful job on this family home. We felt the rates were extremely reasonable and the amenities even more than expected. Her welcome treats and note were a lovely personal touch. Thank you for an amazing time in your beautiful home! Stephanie
