Freedom Fields - Heather is a luxury one-bedroom pod set in the stunning Ayrshire countryside near Straiton village, just outside Maybole. It holds a Customers' Choice award for both 2023 and 2024. This is a proper rural escape with spectacular views and real privacy.

Straiton itself is walking distance away and has been voted one of the ten Best Villages in Scotland. It has a coffee shop, pub and local store. Galloway Forest Park Britain's largest forest park at 300 square miles is nearby. It's one of only four Dark Sky Parks in the western world. Ayr, Troon and Prestwick are all within easy reach.

Heather sleeps 2 guests in a galleried kingsize bedroom on the first floor. The ground floor has an open-plan living area with Freeview TV and an electric fire. The kitchen has an electric hob, combi microwave oven and fridge freezer. There's a shower room with heated towel rail.

Culzean Castle (National Trust for Scotland) is roughly 12 miles away (20 minutes). Turnberry golf course is around 14 miles (25 minutes). Ayr town centre is approximately 11 miles (20 minutes). The Isle of Arran ferry from Ardrossan is about 25 miles away (35 minutes).

Freedom Fields - Heather suits couples wanting a peaceful rural break with a private wood-fired hot tub, firepit and barbecue on the terrace. One pet is welcome. It's a well-equipped and genuinely secluded spot in beautiful Ayrshire.
